Well child visits are regular doctor’s appointments your child needs to ensure they are growing in a safe and healthy way. Well child visits are similar to physicals in that they take into account your child’s height, weight, blood pressure, heart rate, blood oxygen levels, reflexes, and more. During these well child visits, Dr. Bruner-Hill will also talk with you about your child’s learning milestones, any concerns you may have about their behaviors, and whether they are on track with their vaccinations. Well child visits are typically recommended every few months through the age of three, then every year until they turn 21.

We’ve all been there – your child starts coughing, sneezing, and/or vomiting, and you are left wondering what to do. Come in and see Dr. Bruner-Hill for some help! She is happy to sit down with you and your child to determine what illness they may have and develop a treatment plan to help them start feeling 100% again. We understand how scary going to the doctor may be to a child, so Dr. Bruner-Hill takes the care and effort to make sure every child feels both comfortable and happy throughout their experience at Abundance Health Care.

By the time your tweens and teens stop growing, you may think well child visits and regular medical care are no longer a need. However, your teens still need the guidance of a medical provider to make sure they stay in good health. Teens are at high risk of participating in risky behaviors, including behaviors that affect their physical, emotional, and sexual health. We encourage parents to bring in their adolescents and teens at least once each year to make sure their child’s mental health stays in check and that they are knowledgeable about safe sexual interactions.
